ANNUAL CONFERENCE
WAMOA holds a three day, statewide Conference every October. The conference offers workshops focused on management skills and techniques.
TRAINING WORKSHOPS
Throughout the year, WAMOA sponsors workshop training opportunities designed for the school district maintenance professional.
TRADE SHOW
WAMOA hosts the largest School Maintenance Trade Show in the state. Hundreds of Vendors from companies both small and large are available to present solutions to school facilities administrators.  Vendor-sponsored workshops and demonstrations provide a great opportunity to learn what is new in the marketplace.
QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER / MAGAZINE
WAMOA publishes a quarterly news magazine that focuses on timely maintenance issues, changing regulatory requirements, and upcoming meetings and events. It has been ranked among the best in the country, and has inspired other publications to excellence.
CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
WAMOA offers a professional certification program for school facilities personnel. This certification is through a board comprised of the Washington Association of School Business Officials, the Washington Association of School Administrators and the Washington State School Directors' Association
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY
WAMOA's Annual Membership Directory contains the names of all members and vendors. Designed to be a networking tool, it cross references members by school district and name, listing titles, fax numbers, and e-mall addresses. A resource section provides contact information for various agencies, and a list of training videos produced by WAMOA. Vendors may advertise near their listing in the Vendor section.
NATIONAL AFFILIATION
WAMOA is affiliated with and is a part of the National School Plant Management Association.

REGIONAL ORGANIZATION

WAMOA's nine regions are consistent with the boundaries of the state's Educational Service Districts. (ESDs)  The regions meet monthly, allowing members to focus on matters of local importance.

WAMOA MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE IN 4 CATEGORIES:

A WAMOA MEMBER IS: That person who has program management level authority and/or responsibility for one or more M & O programs in an educational facility within the State of Washington. (Includes construction programs.)
Program Management Level Authority and/or Responsibility definition:
        1. Administrative Oversight of the Program(s).
        2. Budget Authority.
        3. Exempt from Fair Labor Management Rules.

ACTIVE MEMBER:  Persons regularly employed in a position of program management level authority and/or responsibility for maintenance (including grounds), operations, and facilities in an educational institution. This is a voting membership and in-state employment is required.

EDUCATIONAL ASSOC. MEMBER:

Those persons regularly employed in a position of supervisory responsibility in the field of maintenance, operations, and facility programs related to an educational institution, but do not meet the definition of an Active Member. This is a non-voting membership and state residency is not required. Supervisory responsibility guidelines:
        1 Oversight of staff and operations.      2 Subject to Fair Labor Management Rules.

NON-EDUCATIONAL ASSOC. MEMBER:

Those persons regularly employed in a position of administrative, managerial, or supervisory responsibility in the field of maintenance, operations, and facility programs not related to an educational institution. This is a non-voting membership and state residency is not required.

EDUCATIONAL PARTNER MEMBER:

Supplier, contractor representative, or other agency or association who offers or provides membership, products, goods or ‘services for a fee' to maintenance and operations departments in educational institutions. This is a non-voting membership which is non-transferable and state residency is not required.
